I have to update thios blog regularly* - That should be my new years resolution for tahun baru hijrah hehehe. Well I just got back yesterday and i think im still in jetlag mode. Syukur Alhamdulillah i'm now officially a masters graduate in International Studies of Pacific Asia, mainly focus on the security of Asia and got quite the best mark i could ever have dream of for my dissertation, writing on transnational crime occuring in the South East Asian region mainly focus on the drug trade and how ASEAN is tackling the issue. I would also to congratulate my colleagues, namely Abu,Ain, Azmi, Nawir, Mardiana, Rajul, Sepol, Ka Jams and Yusrina for each graduated as masters as well. It was definitely a great day to graduate. It wasn't raining, the weather wasn't that cold and top it all off, my name was pronounciated correctly!
As much as i had fun during my time in uk, i did go through the most tensed feeling ever and had to endeavour it for 30 mins! Well, this was what happened. After Birmingham, my sister and i went to Cardiff to visit our brother zaim. Since the train is an ass in 3-days-before-departure-date prices, i think its best just to use megabus. So we were off from Birmingham on Sunday at 7.20am, arriving Cardiff around 10.30am. We were suppose to stop at the city centre and I've been to cardiff once. I remembered the city centre has a proper bus station and all. Then again at that time i used national express. Megabus was different. They're last stop was at the very edge of the city centre. That was why when the last passenger from Birmingham went out of the bus, my sister and i weren't bothered to go down. We assumed that the bus driver will use his all surround speaker to tell the whole bus that it'll be the last stop but to my dissapointment he didn't. So what you're guessing now is right. We miss the stop to Cardiff. I realized that when after 30 mins drive, the bus was as if heading towards the motorway. I asked the driver "Excuse me, is your next stop cardiff city?"
He heard me wrong "Yes, yes London city" the busdriver replied.
"No, no, i mean cardiff city" me emphasizing on cardiff city.
"We already passed cardiff city. It was a while ago when everyone went on board (those who were going to london)"
I was like SHIT! Then i ask him whether theres any stop nearby that i could just go down and maybe take any terms of transportation to go back to cardiff. Busdriver couldnt think of one and he asked me again whether i have a ticket heading for london?
I relied no mine is for cardiff. So that was his basis for deciding to make a U-Turn and send me back to Cardiff city! I was so relieved at the same time felt very guilty to waste everone elses time. And NOW he used his all surround speaker stating " Im sorry everyone but I have to make a u-turn and get back to cardiff city as a passenger didn't get off his last stop, I'm sorry for the delay and i will make it as fast as i can, thank you".
UDAH ATU BARUTAH IA PAKAI SPEAKERNYA!! Well i wasn't that furious psl ia baik hati to turn around for me and my sis. But at that moment after he made the announcement i felt verrryyy guilty to waste peoples' time. I could feel the passengers' fury and anger. I could hear them calling their loved ones, friends, partners, anyone who was waiting for them...saying owh some asian kid just wasted our time (just an assumption on the asian kid). My sister had a glance at the back and she said everyone was eyeing on us, and some were like shaking their heads as they go through 30 mins of wasted time. As time passes by the tension was getting stronger and i was for sure felt very uneasy. Once we arrived back at the same point 30mins earlier, I stood up, faced to the back (good thing i sat 2nd row frm the front) and said " I'm really sorry everyone for wasting your time, It's my first time in Cardiff (bullshitting) and I hope you all have a nice day". Lapas atu tarus kluar, with my sister following me from behind, ambil luggage and never looked back. DAMN! what a way to start Cardiff!
CBox Beb!
