BBQ versi puasa

Last night i felt like writing and adding some bits on my dissertation. Had spaghetti and take away pizza for sungkai and that kept me full up to sahur. Had the same thing for sahur though. Can't be bothered to cook. I was up until 6+ and the morning sun was shining directly into my room. My head was all spinning and I thought yes this is the limit, should not push myself any further and i should have some rest. The problem with my room is 1.- facing sunrise and 2.- i have a lousy curtain. I can only sleep with only a minimal amount of light in my room. So i had to modify a bit so my room appears darker. Its a combination of the lousy curtain, 2 towels and kain sampang.

Woke up at 12pm and i thought it was gonna rain outside. Removed the whole curtain apa and damn what a nice day it was. We planned to have a bbq sungkai later that day. Bought some ribs and wings the day before, marinated it with HP bbq sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce and rosemary. Turn out pretty damn good.


This is the instant bbq set, bought from tesco. Ready in 20 minutes. Last up to 1.5 hrs. Very effective for small bbqs.

Lighting up. Took more or less 20mins for the charcoals to be covered in white ashes (thats when its ready).

This is one huge mistake though. Why? Because i put the instant bbq on top of a box. Some bits of coal spat out and got the box on fire! Luckily we acted quickly. Naili panicked though and instead of getting a jug of water to put out the fire, she continued to blow the fire away by fanning it with another carton box. Makin tia menjadi lol~~~ No harm done to the food, selamat.



As you can see here, we used a metal chair and a bbq stand in replacement.

Plum~~?
Yeah we just found out we have a plum tree in our backyard! According to Sepol the 'bubble' that comes out of the plum is the nectar. Look closely and you can see the reflection of my camera. We didn't dare to eat it though. Maybe one day. Most of the plums aren't ripe jua.



Huda came over a couple of mins before sungkai. We watched 'World's Greatest Dad' (movie). In someway its a bit disturbing but siuk jua lah. Has an 8.0 ImDB rating. Not bad~ Im really looking forward for UK cinemas showing District 9. Apparently theres lots of good reviews on it. Anyway i better get some sleep. Kn bgn sahur lagi.
