Penang pt2

Penang is wonderful i must say

Its not as hectic as KL and nda jua luan sunyi...My mum is on the Island side of penang and her apartment is just near the coastal, near the Penang Bridge to be precise. Everywhere we go we can see the sea and the breeze is so relaxing. Georgetown, capital of Penang, is quite a historic place. They still preserve the old buildings but to my disappointment some are not maintained very well. Then again, the mix of new traditional structure buildings and old historic remains makes penang different from the rest of the malaysian state. Maybe the state that is most similar to Penang will be Melaka.

Penang is also rich in culture and diversity of different ethnic groups. I got the chance to past by chinese doing some rituals due to the 'angry ghost month' and they also perform those operas where the badak mua is 5 inci tabal. To my surprise also,I assumed the chinese over here are like all from the same ethnic group...which i was wrong. Kira drg ani pun ada puak. One of my mum's fren, a local here, comes from the chinese puak which speaks VERY fluent malay. Not only them, even there are chinese speaking indians! Bnr bangang ku meliat awal2 hahaha sakai... One thing about Penang there's no discrimination. Kalau d brunei bh ada th udah mengucap apa tu, you know who you you guys are and stop denying heh...

To spice up the holiday, its Malaysia's 50th Merdeka, Selamat Hari Merdeka to all Malaysians, Jubli Emas yo! hehehe...and when it's merdeka, the sale is crazy!

The shopping malls are like having '10pm-1pm crazy midnight sale' and prizes are given for anyone whose so enthusiastic to wear their pajamas during the sale!! Yesterday i went to Gurney Plaza, quite far from my area, had to take two bus. Luckily i was there cos EX store was having a massive all items 50% sale, shuupiing bnr ku ih hahahahah the way i shop over here is i divide it by 7, cos 1pound= 7rm...So ku kira2 murah bh bli sini dri d uk, baikth suping, nda ja? heheheheh the Nationwide sale will end this sunday. To my Joha, Me'eh, Ajir n Lapik, ibu alum dpt lanja abg so i can't bali u guys punya stuff ;p.

From shopping lets talk abt food. Penang holds a variety of its signature food, for which most are Chinese delicacies. By far for me the best is their Char Quay Tiaw, the Famous Penang Laksa and Penang prawn mee doesn't suit me really well. Nevertheless it does have a very unique taste. I did also tryout some of the restaurants yg nada d brunei, or should i say yg 'once upon a time' ada d brunei aka AnW and Kenny Rogers. U guys remember, Kenny Rogers d Qlap, yg ah ujung2 sbaris with the Apple store. Well apparently its quite famous in Malaysia so i tryout lah d chicken. Honestly, its not all that. Pasanku nyaman g ayam ideal. Not being bias but yeah, nyaman g d ideal. I did also wanna tryout T.G.I Fridays cos d Uk nda halal kan. I went there and ah mua pintu atu ada the summarized menu and fuuuuuhh mahal hantap makananya, ada yg smpai 40 rm, malas th ku, baik ku bali baju dua pasang~~
