New Asst CEO at the BEDB

The Brunei Economic Development Board announced yesterday that His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to the secondment of Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Hussein from the Department of Economic Planning and Development, Prime Minister's Office to the Brunei Economic Development Board starting from October 1, 2007.

According to a press release from the Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB), Dr Haji Abdul Manaf will hold the position of Assistant Chief Executive Officer responsible for stakeholder relations at the Brunei Economic Development Board.

He will also be a member of the BEDB's senior management team, which comprises of the Chairman, the Chief Executive Officer and three other Assistant Chief Executive Officers responsible for Infrastructure Development, Investment Promotion and Corporate Affairs.

Dr Haji Abdul Manaf, who has a PhD in Management from the University of Kent, United Kingdom, is presently the Director of Policy and Coordination at the Department of Economic Planning and Development, Prime Minister's Office and was a former Deputy Dean at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
